'See Sport Differently' a campaign aiming to tackle the barriers that stop blind and partially sighted people enjoying sport and physical activity

See Sport Differently

The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and British Blind Sport (BBS) have recently launched a campaign (See Sport Differently) to support blind and partially sighted people to be active. Blind and partially sighted people are twice as likely to be inactive than people without sight loss. See Sport Differently is trying to change this.

The campaign tackles the biggest barriers that stop blind and partially sighted people from getting involved in sport and physical activity. The aim is to challenge perceptions around sport, physical activity and slight loss so that blind and partially sight people can take part however they want to.

The campaign uses a series of videos that share real stories of how blind and partially sighted people have overcome different barriers they face that prevent them from being involved in sport and physical activity. The RNIB and BBS have also created an online hub that provides guidance on accessible sports and physical activities, how to get involved and an interactive quiz to find a new activity to try.

The campaign shares stories from a range of people with sight loss and highlights their successes to be active. Meet the See Sport Different supporters here and read their stories.
