Bespoke Emergency First Aid Courses for Clubs

If you are looking for a First Aid Course tailored to the activities or sport that your club undertakes, then we can help to get this organized for you.

The course is an IQL Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF qualification number 603/2264/0).  It is valid for 3 years as of the date of assessment.  The course is Trainer Assessed throughout, and the assessment should determine a learner’s ability to act safely, promptly and effectively when an emergency occurs learning how to deal with a casualty. 

The qualification comprises eight mandatory units:

  • Role and responsibilities of a First Aider
  • Incident assessment and primary survey
  • Casualty management and recovery position
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Treatment for choking
  • External bleeding
  • Shock
  • Minor injury

All assessment criteria in the units must be achieved and will comprise of:

  • Observed practical on course assessments
  • Multiple choice and short answer questionnaire

  • Full training
  • Assessment
  • Student manual
  • Certification

 

The course is a 6 hours which can be completed over 1 day or can be split into 2 x 3 hour sessions. Attendees must be 18 or over to attend this course.
